When asked to summarize his experience at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Alton Rogers, 81, said it was extraordinary.
"My doctor sat down with my wife and me for 45 minutes to explain my medical condition and did so with the patience, kindness and caring, which are so important to a recovering patient," says Alton Rogers, 81, a retired City of Houston epidemiologist. “She told me what I could expect during my treatment and what kind of side effects I could expect from my medication. You just don’t find that kind of doctor-patient relationship anymore."
His wife Ladene, a former registered nurse, agrees.
"I know high-quality health care when I see it, and that’s what we’re getting from Dr. Cacciatore here at Kelsey-Seybold,” she says.
Alton and Ladene use the MyKelseyOnline option for communicating with their Kelsey-Seybold doctors.
"It's great," Alton says, "we can communicate with our doctors without having to go through the switchboard. I can e-mail a question and get an answer back the same day."
MyKelseyOnline is a convenient, secure Internet portal for scheduling appointments online and sending and receiving messages to and from your doctor's office.
To register, Kelsey-Seybold patients can visit www.MyKelseyOnline.com and sign up. Once they create a unique ID and password, they can log in to send and receive secure electronic messages with their health care team.
"To sum things up, we’re happy with Kelsey-Seybold," Alton concludes.
